In another South Coast League games:
Capistrano Valley 3, Mission Viejo 2--Phil Latini scored the winner with two minutes remaining off an assist from Eric Johnson for host Capistrano Valley (11-3-2, 1-1). Johnson also scored a first-half goal to give the Cougars a 2-1 halftime lead.
Nick Gilliam and Sean Branson scored goals to pull Mission Viejo (5-5-3, 1-2-1) even, 2-2, with 10 minutes remaining.
In the Century League:
El Modena 2, Canyon 0--Martin Carrington and Robert Lugo scored goals and Marcelino Palacios had both assists for El Modena (9-2-2, 2-1). Canyon’s record falls to 10-4-2, 2-1.
In the Garden Grove League:
Santiago 2, La Quinta 2--Junior Villagrana scored the tying goal with five minutes remaining for host La Quinta (3-4-2, 2-0-3). Santiago is 5-6-1, 2-1-1.
In the Golden West League:
Ocean View 1, Westminster 0 (2 OT)--John Clark, on an assist by Dinhy Lai, scored the winner in double overtime. Goalie Clay Roe had six saves for Ocean View (6-7, 2-1) and Westminster goalie Jose Flores had four.
In the Pacific Coast League:
Estancia 1, Aliso Niguel 0--Jose Quintana scored off Orlin Ramos’ assist in the 46th minute for host Estancia (9-3, 2-1).
Laguna Hills 2, Laguna Beach 2--Tom Neptune scored off a corner kick late in the game to earn a tie for Laguna Beach (9-4-2, 2-0-1). Robby Balogh and Kevin McConaughy scored the goals for Laguna Hills (7-7-4, 2-0-1).
In the Sea View League:
Newport Harbor 1, Irvine 0--Chris Wakim scored the game-winner in the 60th minute for Newport Harbor (6-3, 3-1), which moved into a tie for first with Woodbridge and El Toro.
Santa Margarita 1, Woodbridge 0--Unranked Santa Margarita won its first league game and stopped fourth-ranked Woodbridge’s 10-game unbeaten streak. Brian Ong scored in the 62nd minute for the host Eagles (9-7-1, 1-2-1).
Byron Foss had nine saves to preserve the shutout for Santa Margarita. Woodbridge (12-3-2, 3-1), ranked third in Division II, outshot Santa Margarita, 18-7.
In the Sunset League:
Huntington Beach 4, Los Alamitos 3--Aaron McAthy scored three goals for Huntington Beach. McAthy has 16 goals for the season.
In Sea View League girls’ water polo:
Irvine 15, Santa Margarita 5--Erin Lezak scored four first-quarter goals to put second-ranked Irvine (14-1, 2-0) ahead, 8-3, at the half. Mandy Crawford led Irvine with five goals and Nicole Huszcz added three.
Fifth-ranked Santa Margarita (11-5, 0-2) was led by Katie Ferguson with two goals.
Newport Harbor 10, El Toro 4--Alden Moore and Erin Murphy scored three goals each for seventh-ranked Newport Harbor (10-4, 1-2).
