A man who entered a finance company armed with a handgun Wednesday escaped with a “large sum of money” after forcing an employee to allow him access to the cash, police said.
The robbery occurred shortly after 6 p.m. at Central Finance in the 12700 block of Van Nuys Boulevard, said Los Angeles Police Det. Bill Coy of the Foothill Division.
The gunman ordered a clerk to lie on the floor and hand over his keys, which were used to enter a room where the cash was kept, Coy said.
