Grapevine Park
A quick escape with a tranquil setting is Grapevine Park, adjacent to the San Gabriel Mission at 324 S. Mission Drive. The padres’ “mother grapevine” was transplanted from the mission’s vineyards farther north in 1861. The vine once spread over 10,000 square feet and produced between 400 to 600 barrels of wine.
