Clipper update--The 102-100 upset over Seattle at the Pond of Anaheim on Thursday prevented them from equaling their longest losing streak of the season, six games. Guard Pooh Richardson has played only one minute in the last four games because of an ankle injury. The Clippers defeated the Nuggets, 82-78, in Denver on Nov. 5.
Nugget update--They have won two in a row and three of their last four. The Nuggets are 8-20 since Dick Motta replaced Bernie Bickerstaff. LaPhonso Ellis, who scored a career-high 36 points in Monday’s 132-123 victory over the New Jersey Nets, has scored 30 or more points four times since being activated on Dec. 5 after sitting out 19 games because of a knee injury. Former Clipper Mark Jackson had a career-high 22 assists and 21 points against the Nets.
