* SOFTBALL: The UCLA softball team will hold a clinic for girls grades 5-12 and all coaches from 10 a.m. to noon at UCLA’s intramural field. Current and former Bruin players and coaches will provide instruction. Among those scheduled to attend are former Olympians Dot Richardson and Lisa Fernandez. The $25 fee also includes admission to the alumni game that follows at 2:30.

PARTICIPATION SPORTS

* RUNNING: The Redondo Beach Super Bowl Sunday 10K, 5K, 5K fun walk, 10K skater’s fun roll and DirecTV Invitational Mile will be held. Late registration ($20) at Beryl Street and Harbor Drive intersection in Redondo Beach begins at 6 a.m. Cash prizes awarded for top-10 finishers in 10K run and top-three finishers in mile run for both men and women.
