Tip Leads Deputies to Body in a Car

PALMDALE — An anonymous phone tip led authorities to a car in a remote area near Palmdale where they discovered the body of a woman, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department said.
The caller phoned the sheriff’s station in Lancaster just before midnight Friday, Deputy Barry Wish said. Deputies then located the body near Avenue O and 90th Street East, he said.
Information on the woman’s identity or a cause of death were available, Wish said.
