Suspect Sought in Rape at Mobile Home

Authorities are still looking for a man suspected of raping an elderly woman at a mobile home park in Thousand Oaks.

Ventura County sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of a reported rape of a woman in her 60s about 10:15 p.m. Saturday at Thunderbird Oaks Mobile Home Club, 2519 Thunderbird Drive.

The attacker forced his way into the woman’s mobile home and assaulted her, officials said. In the process, the man apparently tried to strangle the woman and injured her neck and throat.
