Standard Pacific Corp.: The Costa Mesa home-building company reported 1996 net income of $8.4 million, or 28 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $27.4 million, or 90 cents a share, for the previous year. The 1995 results included a $27.7-million after-tax charge taken in the 1995 fourth quarter. Revenue increased 15% to $399.9 million from $346.3 million. Fourth quarter net income totaled $3.6 million, or 12 cents a share, contrasted with a year-earlier net loss of $29.2 million, or 97 cents a share, including the special charge. Revenue was up 30% to $131.1 million from $100.8 million.
