GOVERNMENT CONTRACT AWARDS

Arete Associates in Sherman Oaks won a $1.5-million contract from the Navy in Arlington, Va., for a feasibility assessment of biosensors.
* Universal Asphalt Co. of Santa Fe Springs won a $391,720 contract from the Navy in Point Mugu for pavement repairs.
* Crow Creek Construction Inc. of Ventura won a $382,323 contract from the Navy in San Diego for property maintenance and repair services.
* M. E. Myles Co. of Simi Valley has been awarded a $167,815 contract from Ventura County to prepare the site for two water reservoirs near Moorpark. The project, called the Tierra Rejada Reservoir Grading, is west of the Moorpark Freeway in the Carlsberg Development. The reservoirs will provide potable water for domestic use and to meet fire demands. The grading project is scheduled for completion May 1.
