Re “Reasons for Campaign Reform Are Piling Up,” editorial, Jan. 22: Concerned, honest citizens can act quickly to implement campaign reform. Stop donating money to both political parties and all candidates. Campaign reform will follow willingly when the flow of money dramatically falls.

* Re “GOP Proposes Penalty for False Ethics Claims,” Jan. 20:

When politicians have frivolous ethics charges made against them, they want to propose a “loser pays” provision as a means of determent. What about the numerous frivolous lawsuits filed against innocent victims--shouldn’t the loser pay?

Of course passing a loser-pay law for all victims would swell the unemployment lines with attorneys.
