A draft environmental report for proposed construction at the Armed Forces Reserve Center in Los Alamitos will be available for public review beginning Wednesday at five Orange County libraries.
The report analyzes potential effects of construction at the base. The Armed Forces Reserve Center is proposing to expand its vehicle maintenance shop, construct a new armory and warehouse, and rehabilitate the base’s electrical and natural gas systems.
Copies of the report are available at the Cypress, Fountain Valley, West Garden Grove, Westminster and Los Alamitos-Rossmoor libraries.
The public review period ends Feb. 28. Residents are encouraged to send letters with comments to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles District, Attn. Shane Brady, P.O. Box 532711, Los Angeles, CA 90053-2711.
