Tornado Leaves Buildings Damaged

Buildings were damaged and power lines knocked down when a tornado roared through a Houston suburb, police said. Eyewitnesses said the storm blew debris 300 feet into the air as it ripped through a two-mile swath of Pasadena, southeast of Houston. Rescue officials were combing through buildings damaged in the storm, but said there were no reports of injuries. Houston Lighting and Power officials said 5,500 customers were left without electricity by the storm.
