Mollie Kavanagh and David Han have been selected as the co-coaches of the Fullerton women’s volleyball team, athletic director Sue Beers said Monday.
They replace Nancy Welliver, who returned to Cerritos as an assistant after three years as Fullerton coach. Fullerton reached the state tournament twice under Welliver, including last season when the Hornets lost to Golden West in the championship match.
“We’re really sorry to see her go,” Beers said. “She did a great job for us.”
Kavanagh, a former Santa Fe Springs Santa Fe High coach, and Han have coached on the club level.
