Council Sets Meeting on Replacing Gose

The City Council will hold a special meeting Thursday at 2 p.m. to discuss how to fill Councilman Ken Gose’s seat.
Gose, 75, died Saturday from complications of a brain tumor. He was in the middle of his second council term.
The Camarillo council can appoint a replacement or hold an election to fill Gose’s seat.
If the council decides to hold a special municipal election in June, it must decide to do so by Friday to meet the county’s special election requirements. If the council chooses to appoint a replacement, it must be done within 30 days.
