The FBI is looking for a masked man who robbed a Camarillo bank Wednesday morning.
Wearing a dark ski mask and dressed in dark baggy pants and a dark plaid jacket, the man walked into the lobby of California Federal Bank at 430 Arneill Road about 9:30 a.m. with a small-caliber gun in his hand, said Special Agent Gary Auer, who supervises the Ventura office of the FBI.
The man shouted, “This is a robbery,” then went to one teller and demanded that she hand over only large bills.
The man escaped on foot and jumped a wall that ran along a parking lot nearby. When he jumped the wall, his mask fell off, Auer said.
He is described as white with brown hair, about 20 years old, 5 feet, 10 inches tall and about 150 pounds.
Investigators believe that this is his first bank robbery in Ventura County. It is the fifth bank robbery in the county this year, Auer said.
