The scholarships are open to Ventura County students with a grade point average of 2.5 or better and two letters of reference. The amounts of the scholarships have not yet been determined.
The scholarships will be given during an awards ceremony in March that will also acknowledge outstanding accomplishments from African Americans who live and work in Ventura County.
Applications should be mailed before Feb. 21 to P.O. Box 4695, Thousand Oaks, CA 91359-1695.
