Mother Fatally Shoots Self, 2 Children

RIVERSIDE — A 38-year-old mother shot and killed her two young children and then killed herself--after perhaps killing her boyfriend, whose body was discovered in Anaheim during the course of the investigation, authorities said Wednesday.
The killings were discovered after a Riverside County sheriff’s deputy approached an apparently abandoned vehicle alongside Lake Mathews, a reservoir east of Corona.
Inside the vehicle, the deputy discovered the bodies of Marcia Ambsden-Kyle and her two children--a 9-year-old boy and 7-year-old girl. All were killed by gunshots and the weapon was found alongside the woman, said Det. Jess Gutierrez.
The investigation led detectives to the home of the woman’s boyfriend in Anaheim. There, Gutierrez said, they discovered the body of Matthew Stehen Bailey, 28. “She is probably suspected in his death,” Gutierrez said.
Gutierrez said the woman lived alternately at Bradley’s home and at a residence in Riverside County.
