The Griffins (15-3-2, 5-0 in league) defeated the Aztecs (14-4-1, 3-1-0) in their league opener, 1-0, Jan. 9. Defending league champion and Southern Section co-champion Los Alamitos is ranked No. 4 in the county and Esperanza is ranked No. 6. Esperanza plays at Marina (9-6-1, 2-2-0) in a makeup game on Monday.

In the Empire League, undefeated Cypress (14-3-2, 5-0-0) plays at El Dorado (12-7, 3-2) at 3:15 p.m. El Dorado dropped to third place in league after a 1-0 loss to Kennedy (13-5, 4-1) on Tuesday.
