Gray Leads Cal Past Stanford

BERKELEY — Guard Ed Gray scored 27 points as California defeated No. 15 Stanford, 70-64, Wednesday night for its 15th consecutive victory at Harmon Gym.
Gray has averaged 29.1 points in his last seven games. Cal, 15-5 overall and 6-3 in the Pacific 10, has won five in a row.
Stanford (13-4, 6-3) shot 36.2% in being held to a season-low point total. Center Tim Young had six points, 10 below his team-leading average.
