KidFest ‘97, a fund-raiser for several local charities, will feature games and rides for children and their parents this weekend at Huntington Beach Mall.
A climbing wall, bungee jump and a Lazer Tag tunnel will be available for the older kids, while youngsters can enjoy the coloring contests, roller-hockey demonstrations and other activities.
Some attractions require tickets, sold in books of five for $5. Proceeds will benefit Clothe the Children--a project of the Kiwanis Club and Salvation Army to buy school clothes for needy children--as well as the American Red Cross, YMCA and Olive Crest Children’s Homes, among others.
Events start at 8 a.m. Saturday with a walk-a-thon to benefit Missing Children International. The KidFest itself runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Events will be inside and outside the mall, at Beach Boulevard and Edinger Avenue.
