When Kristine Quance of Northridge won the 200-meter individual medly in 2:13.55 on Wednesday night at the Phillips 66 U.S. National Swimming Championships, she became the fourth-fastest American woman in the event. Her time, the fastest in the world this year, trails only Summer Sanders, Allison Wagner and Tracy Caulkins.
