Fasching Leads RAAM for Fifth Day in a Row

Wolfgang Fasching of Goritz, Austria held the lead for the fifth consecutive day as he passed through Columbia, Tenn., in the Race Across America.
Fasching, 29, went through Columbia at 9:40 p.m. (PDT) Thursday. Danny Chew of Pittsburgh, who moved into second place Wednesday, kept his lead over three-time champion Rob Kish of Port Orange, Fla., who’s in third place.
In the men’s 50 division, Beat Gfeller of Switzerland led as he passed through Mayflower, Ark., at 4:50 p.m. (PDT) Thursday.
In the women’s division, Seana Hogan of San Jose maintained her lead over Idaho’s Muffy Ritz. Hogan passed through Memphis, Tenn., at 6:27 p.m. (PDT) Thursday.
