City Finance Office Awarded for Report

For the 17th consecutive year, the city has been honored for excellence in financial reporting by the Government Finance Officers Assn. of the United States and Canada.
The city received the Certificate of Achievement award, considered the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting, for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the year ending June 1996.
Mayor Bruce Broadwater said the award illustrates the excellent work done by Controller Anthony Andrade and his employees in managing the city’s finances.
