This Angel’s Fame Is Also Fleeting Fast

I read, with disgust, of Troy Percival’s troubles, blowing save after save, then Terry Collins whimpering, “He’s tired.” From what? Pitching three innings scattered over three outings?

His problem is total reliance on a fastball that sails straight and true at 95 mph and leaves the park straighter and truer at 100.

He’d better learn to throw other pitches before he learns that a straight line is the shortest distance between Anaheim and Vancouver.
