Roads Can’t Handle Knightsbridge Plan
As a resident of Somis, I am deeply troubled by the plan to take away our agricultural land to build Knightsbridge.
The development of this land violates longstanding guidelines and the General Plan. It affects our entire county.
The development of an additional 95 homes next to Highway 118 would be disastrous. The roadway cannot handle this influx of traffic. We need to slow down traffic, not speed it up.
The intersection of Somis Road and Highway 118 is quite congested already. There is no reasonable entrance or exit for more traffic. The traffic from the La Cumbre/Donlon/Sand Canyon/Palomino area would add to an already dangerous commute for us.
We have been protecting our open space and agricultural land here in the Las Posas Valley for the last 10 years. Let’s continue to protect this valuable resource. Building 95 new homes is totally unacceptable.
