SPARKS TONIGHT

Opponent--Charlotte Sting.

Site--Forum.

Time--6:30.

Records--Sparks 8-11, Charlotte 9-7.

Update--The Sparks, whose three-game winning streak is history after being humiliated by Houston Friday, face a team with a three-game streak of its own, Andrea Stinson-led Charlotte. After this game, the Sparks play their next three on the road. If they continue to play the inconsistent basketball they showed in their 81-57 loss to Houston, even second place in a four-team conference would be up for grabs. Stinson, the 5-foot-10 guard from North Carolina State, is the league’s No. 3 scorer at 16 points per game. The Sparks went to a running game in weaving their three-game winning streak, but it came to a halt against Houston. They struggled when forced into a half-court offense and were outscored, 45-19, in the second half. Whatever the fix is, Coach Julie Rousseau needs to implement it now before games at New York Tuesday, Cleveland Thursday and Houston Saturday.
