Re “More S.F. Police on Patrol After Bicyclist Melee,” July 29:
The fact that “more than 250 people were arrested” in San Francisco’s “mass bicycle ride” poses a couple of troubling questions: Why is it OK when motorists clog rush-hour traffic, but a crime when bicyclists do so?
When Mayor Willie Brown called this an “incredible display of arrogance and indifference,” was he referring to the bicyclists or the actions of his own police force?
