Orange Coast College will offer nearly 100 late-starting classes beginning Sept. 8.
The fall semester begins Aug. 18, but the campus is offering late courses for students with conflicting vacation plans, family commitments or work schedules, said Nancy L. Kidder, administrative dean of admissions and records.
“They are of particular value to mothers whose small children do not begin elementary school classes until after Labor Day,” she said.
Courses are in many disciplines, including American studies, anthropology, business, economics, English, nutrition, mathematics, political science, psychology and sociology.
Students can register at the campus admissions office Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Appointments are not necessary.
Orange Coast College is at 2701 Fairview Road.
