Accused Officer Submits Defense

An Air Force officer, who gave birth to a baby fathered by a married superior officer and who sent sexually explicit letters to his wife, argued that she should not be punished. “That’s my personal life . . . “ Lt. Crista Davis told Lt. Gen. Phillip Ford, 8th Air Force commander, who presided at a disciplinary hearing. Davis is accused of conduct unbecoming an officer, for writing the letters and dereliction of duty.
