Learn the art of pairing food with wine at “Wine and Food: Affinities and Atrocities,” a dinner Saturday in Newport Beach. Rene Chazottes, sommelier at the Pacific Club, will pair each course with two or three wines to demonstrate how the flavors interact. Chazottes will also explain how temperature, aging and decanting times affect wines.
