Alexander Rufus-Isaacs (“California Like England? Just Consider the Eccentrics,” Opinion, Aug. 3) may be trying to create a mystery-of-authorship cult himself. While it is most unlikely that any Agatha Christie character would roll out of a Santa Monica pub, anyone familiar with Dorothy Sayers’ Lord Peter Wimsey knows he would never roll anywhere.
