Switzer Begins to Repair Damage

Associated Press

One day after being arrested for carrying a loaded pistol into the Dallas-Fort Worth airport, Dallas Cowboy Coach Barry Switzer met with his team. Afterward, Herschel Walker walked up and put his arm around the coach.

Owner Jerry Jones, when asked if Switzer’s arrest could cost the coach his job, said, “That’s not something that I’m going to comment on at this time.” One source said Jones might fine Switzer.

Switzer said he had inadvertently left the gun in his travel bag after putting it there with the intention of hiding it from three young children who were guests at his home over the weekend.
