Challenge Expected at Hearing on Cathedral
- Share via
The draft environmental impact report on construction of a Roman Catholic cathedral in downtown Los Angeles will be discussed at a public hearing this morning.
The document suggests that most environmental problems caused by the proposed Our Lady of the Angels Cathedral can be mitigated.
However, a challenge is expected from Native Americans who contend that an ancient burial ground may be located on the site.
The hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. in the fourth-floor board room of the Community Redevelopment Agency, 354 S. Spring Street.
