Pacific Sunwear Sales Up for Month, Quarter

ANAHEIM — Pacific Sunwear of California Inc. on Thursday said same-store sales rose 18% in July. In a news release, the company said total sales for the month were $15.7 million, up 48% from $10.6 million in July 1996.
In the second quarter, the company said same-store sales increased 14%. Total sales for the period were $48.3 million, a 40% increase over the $34.6 million reported a year earlier.
Pacific Sunwear is a specialty retailer of casual apparel, accessories and footwear.
