Mexico Facility Done

TUSTIN — Smartflex Systems Inc. said it has completed its new manufacturing facility in Monterrey, Mexico. The 65,000-square-foot building for high-volume, precision assembly of the company’s electronic connector systems doubles Smartflex’s manufacturing space in Mexico.
The company started production in Monterrey in 1988 and now employs 700 workers there. Smartflex also has operations at its headquarters in Tustin, in the Philippines and in Singapore.
Smartflex shares closed up 38 cents at $11.63 in Nasdaq market trading Monday.
