Concert to Benefit School Arts Programs

To raise money for arts programs at schools throughout northern Orange County, the Fullerton chapter of the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Singing in America is sponsoring a concert on Saturday.
The group, also known as the Orange Empire Chorus, will present barbershop quartets and choruses at the Pearson Park Amphitheater in Anaheim.
Special Feature, a quartet from Reno, Nev., will headline the concert.
Event organizers said concert proceeds will help fund arts programs that teach children about music in elementary schools.
The concert starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $8 per person. Picnic dinners also will be available for $10 each. Information: (714) 871-7675.
