Program Targets Heavy Water Users
The city’s largest water users will have an opportunity to reduce their water consumption, and their bills, with a conservation program called Water Cents.
The 5-year-old program, sponsored by the city and the Municipal Water District of Orange County, is an educational effort targeting the city’s 1,100 largest water users.
Under the program, the water users will be notified by mail that they’re eligible for the free program.
Residents responding to the mailing will receive a survey of how water is used in their homes, and a customized water analysis will follow.
In addition to information, residents can also receive free low-flow parts for shower heads, faucets and toilets.
