27 Hurt as Boat Hits Paris Bridge

From Times Wire Reports

A boat cruising along the River Seine hit a buttress of the historic Pont Royal in Paris, injuring 27 tourists on board but leaving the bridge undamaged, rescue workers said. Most of the injured suffered only bruises or were simply shaken up and were quickly released after health checks at Paris hospitals. No one fell into the river. The chairman of the company that owns the boat blamed the accident on an electrical failure in the system controlling the rudder.
