A 19-year-old Oxnard woman who became the focus of an investigation after police officers allegedly saw her selling methamphetamine was arrested Tuesday morning, according to the Oxnard Police Department.
Julie Ann Vega was served with a search warrant at 8 a.m. at her home in the 800 block of West Juniper Street, according to a written statement by Sgt. Tim Combs. Officers from the Port Hueneme Police Department and the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department narcotics unit took part in the search, he said.
Law enforcement officials found a small amount of marijuana and a stolen street sign in Vega’s bedroom, Combs said. She was arrested on suspicion of selling methamphetamine and possession of stolen property. Vega was being held in Ventura County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.
