Lane Will Be Added to Offramp Near LAX

After a push by Los Angeles International Airport officials, another lane will be added to the offramp from the westbound Century Freeway to Sepulveda Boulevard on the El Segundo border.
The freeway exit is used heavily by people driving to the airport and is often backed up for miles during rush-hour traffic.
Currently, drivers have only one lane to exit onto the offramp. The California Department of Transportation is planning to add another lane, said Caltrans spokesman Rick Holland. The extra lane will be funded by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
