Sparks Get Fined for Criticisms

General Manager Rhonda Windham of the Los Angeles Sparks was fined $1,000 for “verbally abusing” officials after the Sparks’ 72-71 loss at Houston last Saturday.

She was docked for saying that missed calls had a direct bearing on the outcome of the game. In addition, Los Angeles Coach Julie Rousseau and center Lisa Leslie were fined $300 each for criticizing the officials.
