Litton Wins Military Computer Contract

Litton Industries Inc. said its PRC subsidiary has won a contract to supply the U.S. Defense Supply Service with computer hardware and software. The Military Health Service System is authorized to purchase as much as $693.4 million under the two-year contract, Litton said. This contract “positions us to be a one-stop shop for hardware, software and maintenance in the Military Health Service System,” said Brandon Belote, a Litton spokesman. Woodland Hills-based Litton makes navigation, communications and intelligence systems for military and civilian purposes. McLean, Va.-based PRC is one of the top 10 federal information technology contractors. Litton shares rose $1.25 to close at $48.56 on the New York Stock Exchange.
