Trust Fund Set Up for Fall Victim’s Daughter

A trust fund has been established for the surviving daughter of a Moorpark woman who fell to her death from a freeway bridge last week.

Those wishing to help 18-month-old Angela Bickmann--who also lost her 4-year-old brother Garett in the mysterious fall--can contact Home Savings of America’s Thousand Oaks branch.

Correspondence should be addressed to Rose Hernandez at Home Savings and should state that money donated is intended for the Bickmanns. The address is 148 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks, 91360.

Police have not been able to determine why the mother and son fell from the bridge connecting the Ronald Reagan Freeway and California 23 during the early morning of Aug. 6. Jacqueline Bickmann had taken Garett, who had autism, for a drive in an effort to get him to sleep, but the right front tire of her GMC Jimmy went flat on the bridge. The two were found at 3:17 a.m. by California Highway Patrol officers who had stopped to check on the disabled vehicle.
