* The Northridge ASA Girls’ Softball League will be taking fall registration from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at the Northridge Baseball Assn. facility at 18805 Devonshire St., between Reseda Boulevard and Wilbur Avenue in Northridge.

* Tryouts for the Southern California Shilos’ 14-, 16- and 18-and-under fast-pitch softball teams’ fall and winter seasons are scheduled for Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. at the Cal State Northridge softball field.

Tryouts for the 14-and-under team also are scheduled for 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Mountain Meadows Park in Moorpark.
