Irvine Sensors Corp.: The Costa Mesa company said it lost $2.2 million, or 10 cents a share, for its fiscal 1998 third quarter, compared with a loss of $3.2 million, or 19 cents a share, for the comparable quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter ended June 29 advanced 95% to $3.7 million from $1.9 million. For the first nine months of its fiscal year, the company lost $6.4 million, or 32 cents a share, compared to a loss of $6.2 million, or 38 cents a share, for the first three quarters of the prior year. Revenue for the nine months increased 65% to $10.7 million from $6.5 million. Irvine Sensors develops high density electronics, microsensors, image processing and sensing devices, miniaturized electro-optical systems and low power integrated circuits.
