DETROIT — A suspect being questioned in the stabbing deaths of a woman and four children jumped from a fifth-floor police station window Thursday and was critically injured, officers said.
Police Inspector Ella Bully said she did not know whether the 22-year-old man was trying to commit suicide or escape.
Yolanda Bellamy, 21, two sons, ages 3 and 5, and her niece and nephew, also 3 and 5, were found slain Wednesday in Bellamy’s home.
The suspect, who was not identified, called police Wednesday after hearing he was wanted for questioning.
