A bus crash Friday in San Dimas seriously injured the driver and left 16 passengers with minor to moderate injuries, authorities said.
The Foothill Transit bus went out of control about 4:30 p.m. as it made a turn at West Arrow Highway and North Rennell Avenue, Los Angeles County Sheriff Lt. Arthur Valenzuela said.
The bus careened over a curb, crashed through an 8-foot-high block wall and struck a travel trailer parked in the backyard of a residence, Valenzuela said.
The bus came to rest against a building, just feet away from a swimming pool. No other vehicles were involved in the crash, Valenzuela said.
Nine ambulances were summoned to take the injured to area hospitals.
