Hiker Search Curbed as 9th Body Is Found

Authorities said searchers found the body of another hiker, bringing to nine the number found dead after a flash flood roared through a narrow canyon in northern Arizona last week. They also said the search for the remaining two hikers was being scaled back to two daily checks of a debris-laden pool near Antelope Creek and Lake Powell. Officials said the two remaining hikers are presumed dead.
