Driver, 27, Killed in Crash Into Tree

LAGUNA HILLS — A 27-year-old woman was killed in a single-car accident Monday morning when she ran a red light, veered off the road and rammed a tree, officials said.
The woman, whose name was not released pending notification of her family, was traveling east on Alicia Parkway when she ran the light at Ramona Street and crossed six lanes of traffic, according to Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. Dave Brown.
The 9:22 a.m. crash was still under investigation Monday afternoon, he said.
