Chorale’s Season to Open With Brahms

The William Hall Master Chorale will open its 1997-98 season with a Brahms program Oct. 11 at 8 p.m. at the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa. The major work will be “Ein Deutsches Requiem,” with soprano Patricia Prunty and baritone Rodney Gilfry. The Angeles String Quartet will complete the program with String Quartet No. 2.
The season will continue:
* Dec. 17 at the center, with a holiday concert. It will include the All-American Boys Chorus.
* March 29 at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach: Handel’s “Messiah” (complete) in the Basil Lamm edition as further edited by Hall.
* May 30 at at the center: “Three Divas,” with sopranos Brenda Harris, Alexandra Hrabova and Carol Neblett.
